Most awesome apps of 2014

How long has it been since you bought a CD to install programs like Word? Not so very long, but it already feels Iike ages ago. I still remember growing up with tons of CD’s for every game or program you wanted to run on your computer. And the installation could take a while. Now, with a touch and a swipe, you can choose from an elaborate collection of software, programs and games on any device you want, whether it’s a smartphone, tablet, television, gaming console or computer. Apps replace the fuzz, waiting time and even storage problems of CD’s and make your life much easier.

This is my round up of most awesome apps for 2014:

  1. Monument valley

Monument valley is the most unique game app I’ve ever encountered. Every screen is considered a graphic design, so that each one could be printed and framed. It’s inspired by the art of M.C. Escher, Japanese prints and minimalist 3D design. Each level is a unique, handcrafted combination of puzzles, graphic design and architecture.

  1. Reflections

The new Ray-Ban x Reflections photo app is build around the trend of taking selfies. It lets you shoot, edit and share double exposure pictures. By merging the view of your front and back camera, you create unique and stunning artworks that show the reflection of your picture. Now every selfie tells a story. Currently only available for iOS.

If you read a lot of articles on your smartphone, like me, keeping track of everything you’ve read or want to read can be a pain in the ass (pardon my French). With Pocket you can store all the things you want to read later on different devices.
